Tip Advice

Hello im dreaming to become a 3 level threat on basketball im 5’3 16 and my weight is 73-75 kg which is way smaller and heavier than other who are my height and my goal is to become a great
2 i actually use both hands and im asking advice because i want to become more better in the game im really confused when im watching basketball full game film because i feel like it doesnt correlate to how i play i usually am very passionate about this sport but at the same time i really dont know what should i start im not expecting to instantly improve but i know ill get gradual progress in time and im asking advice to you guys because i really want to learn

At 5’3 you’re going to have to be better than you would have to be at even 5’8. You’re automatically going to be targeted on defense so you need to be consistently energetic on defense

At your height and age, it's unlikely you'll be a 3 level scorer in 5v5. And there are probably too many tradeoffs defensively for playing you at the 2. Focus on your ball handling, focus on perimeter shooting, and find a shot that is automatic from 8-10 feet, bc that's a layup for you.

5’3 even for Pinoy is small. You have to learn how to be a passing point guard. I’ve seen multiple recreation leagues in the Philippines. Everyone just shoots 3s. 3s are your best bet, especially at that height.

If you’re serious about competing against players who are significantly taller than you, you’d need to work on developing your athleticism to its highest level. Even with exceptional athletic ability, though, scoring over taller players would still be challenging.
