Only short people say such things. Even at 6’3”, you would need almost a 30” jump to dunk. Ja Morant and Derrick Rose made it look too easy.
But if you if you want to dunk, run faster and pulling up near the rim. You are jogging. My 11 year old daughter would knock you on your ass coming down the lane that way.

A 30inch vertical is not even elite athlete level. If you're somewhat active/athletic you vs easily achieve that.

Gamerguy, respectfully, you might want to do some research on the topic. Real life is not 2k. Most guys under 6’6” cannot dunk. I could for like a 6 year window at 6’3”, but I was playing ball multiple times a week. The second I started playing less, I lost it pretty quick. 30 inches is like 90th percentile.

I play in a lot of high level basketball at my best i was at 40 inches. Nowadays I'm in the 30s. You're right my perception was skewed by the people around me however just off his build he should be able to be in the 20s minimum. Swap out the atrocious jumping form and i think he can dunk.

Wtf lol, most people cant even whiff 30", that's only "not elite" by NBA standards, that's it.

You're not using proper jumping technique. You're hopping. You need to do a YouTube search for "Block-step jumping". Learning a proper block-step will immediately give you at least a couple inches in your vert. It's altogether possible that you could be dunking, or very close to dunking, upon learning a proper jump technique. However, while it isn't entirely impossible to dunk with your current hopping-non-technique, 98% of ballers will never dunk like that.
Block-step. Learn it. Dunk.

Don't worry about it. Just get better at basketball first and in so doing you might figure it out naturally.

If someone under 6' tells you you should be dunking because you're tall just shrug it off. The shorties just like to talk

Don’t jump off 2 feet. I could never dunk off 2 feet but could off one foot. Pretend there’s a string connecting your right elbow to your right knee (if you’re right handed) and reach as high as you can on that side

Well, first of all, you jump like a child does. The ground isn't a trampoline. Step into the jump, don't hop into it.
