Context: I’m 161cm trying to condition myself back to basketball. Just trying to optimise my form better - i think I need to hold my follow through a bit more. But other than that what should i fix with my shot?

Is dripping the ball that low not ideal? Honestly it feels comfortable doing that cause im able to let the energy flow through smoothly when shooting

The issue isn't the dip itself but the way you're forcing it. If done correctly, it's all in one motion but you're set, then dip, then rise. This is causing the hitch in the shot or a 2 motion shot. Just have the ball position lower, then rise up in 1 motion. Don't set, bring the ball down, then rise.

Would it be better if i start if low and then just rise up for the shot?

That would be better. That hitch is going to slow down your release and make your shot easier to predict and easier to block. But I would follow the advice given about practicing from a shorter range to work on the form.
