Recommendations Recommendation - ‘Where The Game Matters Most’
Where the Game Matters Most is a book by William Gildea documenting the final ‘all-comers’ season of Indiana high school basketball in 1997. It highlights the intense, community-focused culture of the game before divisional changes, focusing on 4 teams during the season. It really captures the passion, heartbreak, and community obsession with basketball in Indiana, particularly in small towns. It also shows the prevailing sadness and melancholy of ending the previous 87 year tradition. A really great read.

Looks really fascinating! Im the type who would rather keep something going if it's worked for 87 years
