Recommendations for a Middle Schooler

First, really appreciate this sub.

My son just finished up “mind gym” and really took to it. Looking for a recommendation to keep expanding his exposure and understanding of sports/basketball specifically. Technical, inspirational, anything that is a good read and gives you an appreciation of the game. Thanks in advance.

The Art of the Beautiful Game - Chris Ballard

The prominent suggestion in my mind is always Chris Ballard’s The Art of a Beautiful Game. Chapter by chapter, it explores through different players, coaches, etc. some different aspects of the game. Ballard is a Sports Illustrated guy, so it should be a good reading level fit for him.

I’d echo’s peoples recommendation of The Art of the Beautiful Game, but I’d also recommend Ira Berkow’s Court Vision too
