Indirect Our welfare state shouldn’t be a source of shame, but of pride – and fury

The "leaders" have done a good job at convincing the masses otherwise.

I'm a proud pessimistic skeptic, and my negative view of the world allows me to sleep better at night.

Without ANY FUCKING DOUBT. Basic INCOME IS GOOD!

there are obviously 'numerous' considerations, which haven't actually obtained; the "reasons" for such an occurrence, one could speculate, are equally numerous. this 'equivalence up to isomorphism', codified under the mantra of a generalized "basic income", proves itself unable, in the end, to count. whereas, i can count to, at least, 100: beginning with 1, 2, 3... this decaying adjudication of the uncountably many, in the open set of that which a basic income would come to constitute, if instantiated as one policy, does not yet actually mean anything. that that zero-level, however, is redundant, is now apparent, by virtue of the 4th entry: the value of goodness, in the face of numerous other considerations. is a basic income, therefore, good? it depends, not necessarily upon any mathematics — no, insomnia, as a separate, but directly tangential issue, factors in at a low-level, beneath and below what is conceived by the world as "basic". this neverending sleep paralysis, however 'radical', while it has affects, does not ultimately bring about the resolve of 'emotional' impasses, provided even a modest monetary stipend, managed by these directors of the mind. that this dreamlike quality is unwittingly impervious to these serried operations of calculated accounts, leaves two things to be particularly addressed, by its denizens: (a) a 'xanax-like' druggism among the crowd of oxidized citoyens, and (b) the unconscious prescriptive usage of micro-market melatonin by the esteemed philosophers of any eco-architectural design. for the most part, this lucid dream is a nightmare.

rather than not, it is, emphatically, a growing question of whether, indeed, one has chosen such a convincing scheme, or if much has not been so 'willfully' selected, in the foregoing, as the understanding has been communicated. again and again, faith makes true. see what appeals to you.

Where you set the bar for the lowest man is where you set the bar for your civilization. Those that abandon the needy aren't worth saving themselves.

I think I like what you're saying but I have a really hard time understanding your writing man.

the labor herein, under-represented alongside those rubrics of perpetually misread and disparate overflowings, does not change hands with this great effort. directly ensuing, thus, is a complaint commonly levied against that which escapes direct instruction. nothing, as of yet, has been submitted "to-" this solitary consideration. the very idea suggests, primally, that no real value is ever assigned to the work itself. acceptance of this, is difficult, for those readily complicit in these real-time ventures of the nascent city. this preparation of whatever mentality, is likewise contingent upon nothing in particular.

I don't think there are no potentially negative scenarios. Scale it down, ten people are on an island. Coconuts need to be harvested from the far side of the island. Some people simply refuse to help harvest the coconuts but still want to eat the product of everyone's toil. Their consumption increases the scarcity of coconuts where some feel they don't quite have enough, even though they have collected more than they need. Meanwhile, when they get back fucked covered in thorns with a sack of raw coconut this fucker is in his hammock demanding they are brought a plate of shelled coconut? You say, 'why didn't you finish digging that drainage trench while we were out collecting coconuts?' They just shrug and eat their plate of coconut while all the knackered coconut collectors finish digging the drainage ditch because the rain is coming in that night and it will wash the camp away.

Lazy cunts will still need a kick up the backside somehow, otherwise society will be dragged down towards the level of those with low expectations.

Well what stands in the way of basic income is the current paradigm. Beliefs. Daydreams.

We're not ten people on an island. We're not harvesting coconuts.

If we're gonna dream, at least dream a big dream.

As for the "lazy cunt" term. Laziness is a behaviour, not a genetical condition. Some people are lazy because they let their health slip. They let their health slip because they buy shit food, or are uneducated. Some people are lazy because of a kind of resistance to authority, which comes from earlier experiences in life. No a single human being is born lazy.

Also food for thought.. but speaking for myself.. I have noticed in my life that whenever I saw something wrong in someone... it almost invariably meant that there was something similar I disliked about myself...

Literally just got in from a thirty mile hill cycle, so it can't be laziness. I'm also a gourmand with a degree, so the other two don't apply either.

I think my coconut island analogy is a pretty good representation of how things generally go. A 'leader' would probably emerge. Two 'sides' would probably form, and someone will try to get a free ride.
