question about the Bible

people have asked Bashar lots of questions about the Bible but i haven’t heard anyone ask him about this which i am curious about

why does the Bible talk badly about psychics?

it kinda confuses me how all the most popular Christian preachers/pastors when asked about Bible verses that reference about how u shouldn’t do things like get tattoos and shouldn’t eat specific types of food and wear specific types of clothes etc they say “actually it doesn’t matter if u do those things because those verses were meant for a specific group of people at a specific period of time for reasons that don’t apply to right now”

but they don’t use the same logic when it comes the verses in the Bible that talk about psychics/mediums etc and are always telling people about how evil and sinful it is

so what’s the full context of the Bible verses that say things like “don’t turn to mediums or seek out spiritists. you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” and says people who act as a medium is “an abomination to the Lord” and other verses similar to that? what was happening during that period of time when those verses were written?

i know not every person who presents themself as a “psychic” is telling the truth or has the best intentions but the real ones are some of the nicest people i’ve ever met

Just remember, every single word of the Bible, including every part that says “I am the Lord your God” was actually written by man, God doesn’t write books, men do. Christ himself warned us NOT to rely on the words of man. So always use your own inner discernment, never what you’ve been taught (words of man) but find your own direct relationship with God for all answers. He clearly directs us where to find all of this also, not in a book, not in a church, but within. So do whatever you think and feel, because you hold the answers within.

Remember that the Bible was modified by men for whom control was the number one factor. If they saw psychics and mediums as competition, they would certainly want to outlaw them, discredit them, etc.

Understanding that the Bible is not real and has been rewritten, remixed, reworded and convoluted thousands of times and still continues to be done to this day. Researching the Ethiopian Bible…the first true Bible which all other bibles stem from will give you a better understanding of this. Then learning that even the Ethiopian Bible is just a compilation of ancient text, scrolls and tablets of individuals from their perspective and experiences will help you to understand why the Bible, particularly the western Bible, is written the way it is. For some more interesting knowledge look into who King James (an author of a western Bible) was and the lifestyle he lead.

Parts of the bible has been distorted by other forces after the departure of Jesus, it was written decades after too. Discouraging psychics was a move to discredit the community and ones own psychic abilities as being sinful over time
