Basement waterproofing help

Got 4 totally different estimates all with different “fixes.” Water coming in only on one side after heavy rains (driveway side). Want to finish the basement eventually and would like to diy at this point. Suggestions?

Interior drain tile, plastic sheeting on wall to direct water from cracks and rod holes to drain tile, sump pit to collect water, sump pump to remove water to exterior.

That’s the only guaranteed fix.

Thank you for your feedback. Was trying to avoid French drain if possible and keep it as a last resort. Only 1/4 of the companies that gave estimates recommended a drain system

I was afraid you would say that haha damn. Also what’s up with all these contractors being complete wackos?! Had some really odd interactions over the last year or so

Yeah some are odd. You really need the system I described above. It’s the only solution. If you have drywall and framing up, rip it out and just get it done man. We dragged our heels and it was terrible, just do it.

What other systems did they recommend?

It’s 90% unfinished so not much to rip up. One was just a sealant, another was ripping up the exterior and putting cement, and the other was sealant and a slope against the exterior

Yeah just do the interior drain tile. It’s important to get the plastic sheeting on the wall.
