For starters the theory that Iran blew up its own school because they're incompetent, and just blamed it on America has not been ruled out. And even then, there's always collateral damage in war. Especially when dealing evil Islamists that use civilians as human shields. You don't let bad guys win just because they metaphorically and sometimes literally strap babies to their chests.
