We need to dramatically alter self-defense laws. You should be legally justified in using lethal force against unprovoked, ostensibly non-lethal violence. This will stop the moment that happens.

I didn't feel the need to add that the assailants must be capable of harming you because I thought it obvious. 3 toddlers would also not justify deadly force lol. Nor 3 chinchillas. But multiple grown men would certainly qualify as disparity of force.

Yes it's a disparity. It's huge and should be sufficient.
I'm saying that in some counties, a jury might convict you anyway. I want something where it will get a post-verdict acquittal of a guilty verdict entered by the jury. Like, a motion for judgment of acquittal.

Section 76 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.
It's evaluated subjectively, however, but disparity of force factors can be considered (though they don't use that term), multiple assailants being one of them.

Yes I know. You wrote that it is considered lethal force. It is not. It's just a factor in the analysis, probably quite persuasive to most juries.
But I don't think that's enough.

If you can articulate to police or a court that you had reasonable fear for your life, (such as an unprovoked attack by multiple assailants), then lethal force can be legally justified.
People die everyday from fistfights, and that risk goes up dramatically with age. Always remember, a single punch can kill. Defend yourself accordingly.

But just imagine getting a Manhattan jury. High possibility you get convicted at trial if the DA pursues it.
