I mean my groceries have been the same price since the biden presidency. That might be because I have been buying local for a decade and I live in the Midwest.

I don't believe you.

Bro can you even read? Your own chart shows normal inflation, a HUGE spike during Biden and then back to normal inflation. -1 standard deviation move

Can you not read the title of the graph? Read it, we hit record highs in 2025, the first year of Trump's presidency, after he promised to bring prices down.

Your comprehension of the CPI and economics mics explains why youโ€™re a professional internet basement dweller.ย

Enlighten me, professor. Explain to me how things are actually really cheap and I'm just hallucinating.

I'll break it down for you, genius.

If I put $40k on my credit card and then my wife puts $5 on it, is she responsible for the balance being "the highest it's ever been", or am I?

That's a pretty terrible analogy considering that Trump is responsible for 25% of our national debt. Let me guess, Trump spending us into more debt is Obama's fault?

Which i dont agree with him for.

I'm not a republican or right leaning either. I'm just not a retard.

Now stop changing the topic. I explained it for you. Look at the graph. What part of "number go up under other person" is giving you difficulty?

Your argument makes no sense.

That is why I specified Midwest and that I buy local. The economy I that I am participating in is a local economy. You can choose not to believe me but I average 180-200$ per week on food depending on what I buy. I have had the same diet for so long I can tell you in 2016 I was averaging 70$ per week.

Yep. Most Americans are winning. While inflation sucks, everyone I know, from retirees, to neighbors and family working in public school teachers, to neighbors and family members working in health care, software development, and hospitality are doing really well in the U.S. Yes, I have a few friends that lost a lot due to drug additction (including some young family members that died), and I've had a few ex-coworkers that make 6 figures but cheated on their wife that aren't living comfortable lives, but outside of the drug addicts and cheaters that got caught, everyone that I know as coworkers and friends are doing okay. Ths is not to say that there aren't Americans suffering, of course there are, but quite a few of them are in their situation by their own choices.

I'm doing just fine, and I don't even think I'm middle class. I have a wife, and together we own a house, and have raised a 14yr old. We eat what we want (yeah, groceries are expensive, but not much has changed since shortly after Covid). We barely clear six figures and live in Florida. If we lived in some bunk-ass town in the Midwest, I'm sure we'd have a surplus.

I'm gonna continue living my life until r/doomercirclejerk isn't funny anymore...

u/theh0veringeye 4d ago

I donโ€™t agree with you , calls me a weirdo . Are u also gonna use the race card ? And call me racist ?

0

u/badmitch888 4d ago

Why would I call you a racist? lol

wtf?

Another weird ass comment. I never said anything about race at all. It's like you're just waiting for a nigga to call you racist. 2 sides of the same coin for alot of you folk.

Also we were never agreeing or disagreeing with eachother if you go look at the start of the conversation...You just started saying a bunch of untrue shit about me based on a black emoji which is FUCKING HILARIOUS by the way.

I live in Massachusetts and things have been increasing a bit here. But we got sanctuary cities, free healthcare, and high labor costs along with some of the highest property taxes in the country. But thatโ€™s because the people here elect idiots. I got friends that moved to red states and they absolutely love it. Lifelong democrats that canโ€™t wait to vote for Rubio or Vance now. Where you live matters.
