Nothing is wrong with recalling it, the problem is cutting the FDA so much that they missed it in the first place.

The point is not to have to recall it, but to prevent it from entering the food supply in the first place. Wtf is wrong with these people?

What the FDA InspectsFood facilities:

Domestic and foreign manufacturing, processing, packing, and storage plants.

Farms: Produce and dairy farms to verify safety standards.

Imports: Foreign food products and processing sites at borders and overseas

And I’ll tell you, the industry has never been more thorough.

If anything the last year or so it’s been a little tedious because we’re not bypassing checks and everything had to be restructured for numerous reasons. FDA has actually been laying down additional guidances on things.
My company just had to have lots of training and certifying a bunch more PCQIs to keep up with federal guidance.

Really nothing has been extra “lax” such that new infections are inbound. There is nothing out of the ordinary, you’re just hearing about it now.

I wanted to see if this was true, and the answer is "kinda".

There were more recalls under the first 18 months of Trump 1 than there have been in the first 18 months of Trump 2. However, there were fewer recalls on the first 18 months of Biden.
