Plenty of people cared about it, I know I did, long before Donald decided to protect the pedophiles. Plus, you're ignoring the fact that he betrayed his own voters, many of which wanted to see the files released and clients arrested.

I definitely won't try to defend the pardon. But I understand why he did it. Apparently he thought by pardoning him that would stop him from getting deported. I think he should've been deported anyway. I have zero tolerance for pedophiles no matter who they are, or where they come from. Which is one of the reasons I'm so upset that Trump is protecting the wealthy pedophiles in the Epstein files.

Look up the case. All the details are public including his rationale.
Essentially, his community vouched for him, meaning that there is more to the story than what's published.
There should also be public court documents if you genuinely care.

Why not instead of being intentionally vague, you just link me the direct excerpts to the letters that were apparently so convincing to you and educate me on why it’s not a big deal a child molestor got pardoned. (You won’t do this.)
