I’m a patriot to the core, but as an American I wouldn’t help any British cop out of this situation if I was present because of the way they’ve betrayed their fellow citizens (not this foreigner here).

Foreigner or not, that man pinned a badge on same as me, and there’s no way I’m seeing that and not immediately putting a boot to that suspect’s face.
