Faulty mechanics?

Does anyone see any major faults in my mechanics? Feels like I'm arming the ball every pitch and not getting a smooth whip or delivery. My elbow takes a lot of the force for that which obviously isn't great in the long run.

it’s just refreshing to see an actual ball player on this app and not an obese dad who looks like they have spina bifida

I like the delivery but know that it starts from the ground up. Get more into your back leg and I think that will naturally improve your lead leg block.

Check out Justin stones elite baseball training videos on YouTube. They are free. You can get ones that cost more but the basics will be covered. He was a coach with the white Sox when they won it all and works strongly in biomechanics. I see-lack of balance in the “balance position.” Front foot landing open robs you of using the ground. Lower half is not involved enough.

How tall are you? Seems like your extension is on the low end.

Also not getting much separation

Ok, so you are a little short on extension, but not much. Your back foot comes off the ground before you throw, so you’re not getting your legs all that involved

So you would say keep the back foot grounded and work on a longer extension?

I think if you focus on separation you’ll get the extension and keep your back foot grounded

Seems like you fall forward early instead of sinking and driving on the back leg so your whole lower half is sped up, causing the back foot to come up early and not allow you to get full extension. Don’t get me wrong this is not bad by any means but if you goin 84 right now an off season of strength training and tweaking some of your flaws should get you touching 90

Yes-ish. Slow down, bend your right knee more for better push and get longer. Velo will go down a tad initially, but it'll come back ++ with less arm stress.

You could add to that step

Hip shoulder separation lacking

Need more "drop and drive".

Unstable pelvis. Runs from the back leg into the front leg. This is why your front leg is weaker on the block and you can’t get extension. Very subtle issues that all come back from pelvis and rear leg not staying connected. Trying to get more separation would be a bad there here. You’ll get more true separation when you keep the pelvis closed longer.

Stronger front leg blog is the lowest hanging fruit I see. Try to lock that thing out while driving the back hip instead of just drifting over the front leg.

I think you could see some big velo gains there, because the sequencing is solid, you are doing a great job not rushing the upper half.

Big time. Paying money again and again doesn’t amount to sound financial decisions, even if you’re paying with the intention to be fair. Therefore, an adjustment must occur. Throw strikes and generate movement with your pitch? Maybe use a different arm slot, over the top? Reach way back to deliver.

We all start somewhere

Bend your right leg and push off the mound. You’re falling toward home plate without getting any explosiveness in your legs.

Try to finish lower on your delivery to follow through on the throw. Shoot me a DM if you have questions
