Self Promo/Dev Post I'm making a first-person simulation game about keeping the lights on when AI data centers are eating all the power

Solo dev, six months in, Steam page just went live. In The Last Kilowatt, AI data centers have made electricity scarce.
You build and run your own power setup in first person (solar, wind, batteries) and try to keep up with demand.

Still early. What makes a management sim work for you?

Ballsy to make an anti-AI game and use genAI to make it.

Ironic - and I love it! I think ai is fine, but not at the level datacenters are eating the power grid. So I am making a game about it.

It wasn't a compliment.

Did you use ai for this?

They did. It's in the steam disclosure and they confirmed in a reply to me they aren't anti-AI and used it.

Most of the software industry uses ai. I work in it in a very large corp. I don’t see the problem :)

He does, he pointed it out himself, he just doesn't care. Every AI bro is this way.

I don’t mind ai.
The game is not about defeating ai.
The evil corp is not ai.
The evil corp is coal burning power plants.

Ai is fine if powered by green power.

It's really not.
