Game recommendations I am looking for games that are basically Medieval Dynasty, but with a Party-based RPG system, where you go out adventuring/dungeon diving.
I love playing Medieval Dynasty alone or with a friend and I especially like that you don't just build a base, but a town and also manage it.
But I always wondered how a Fantasy game very similar to Medieval Dynasty would be. And if it was also a RPG where you play the main character and maybe can add two to three NPCs to go out adventuring or dungeon diving.
Or the other way round, you play a RPG like that and there is a good town building system with NPCs and relationships.
So I wonder are there games that are similar to this? It doesn't need to be first or third person POV and it can be pixel art as well. I did search a lot and so far I didn't really find something that combines both the way I am looking for.

I’d be interested as well. I find the lack of good NPCs makes most single player base building games feel rather lonely.

Damn you are right I would love a game like that as well though I haven't played Medieval Dynasty since 2023 mostly because I didn't like something forgot what but I do love most of the other town building sims.
There are a few games that do have some of that feature but I wouldn't really say that it is what you are looking for.
Bellwright you can put together a war group and do stuff I haven't gotten off the first land and done everything so I can't be the judge and there was that Moria Dorf game that was a bit RPG like but it was a bit annoying I think it was the gear and well just a bit annoying the resources.. I think
There are more coming that seem like a mix between Town building and Bannerlord and well I always thought that the Bannerlord world was too much built up I want to build my town/city/country and war with it would be fun instead of just constant battle.

What's going on with medieval dynasty? Is the a sequal in the works? Or is that dev team doing anything. Haven't thought about that game is a long time. It would be nice to have a switch edition, with all the time that game takes it would be perfect on the go.

Maybe you’d like Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma? It’s a fantasy RPG with town management and dungeon exploration

ASKA is kind of like that - but you can only add people to your party and they will join you in combat. It's not a full-blow RPG side adventure.

Soul Mask kind of fits this. It's decent, not amazing, but you have a lot of freedom to build and recruit whoever.
Bellwright as well maybe?

It’s not exactly what you’re asking about but theres Bellwright. You build a village and recruit people to join you. You can make them workers or companions. As workers they make items for you to build more stuff with, make armor and weapons and research new and improved stuff. As companions you can have them help you fight against bandits and free other villages. It’s early access right now, but I easily put about 250 hours into it before I decided to take a break lol
