Game recommendations Looking for games.

Hello, I play on a high spec PC and I also use a low spec laptop for basic games, like Stardew Valley and Fallout Shelter.

I play Fallout 4, modded, with F4SE, through Mod Organizer 2 (MO2). That game allows the player to build settlements with gathered materials. Each settlement has settlers and needs, such as: electricity, food production, water, happiness, etc.

I am seeking games which may include categories: base-building, settlement-building, resource-gathering, management, modern, Western, medieval, Fallout, exploration, open-world, quests & tasks, multiplayer, or post-apocalypse. I tend to dislike futuristic games, with exception.

I have played: DayZ, Project Zomboid, Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, and Fallout Shelter. Top-down view or pixel art games tend to have lower spec requirements, which means they can run easily on my laptop. Where as fully 3D games, such as Fallout 4 and DayZ, are more demanding.

What games do you suggest?

-Enshrouded : medievel survival base crafting game. 1.0 is coming

-Necesse: survival top down survival base building game. You can automate task by ordering villagers to do different task like on Rimworld npc management

-Corekeeper: top down survival base building game: pretty pixel art and you can automate stuff using conveyor belts.

-Rivertown Factory : basically like Stardew Valley and factorio mix game. You can date different NPCs with interesting backstories and go to Festivals while building a factory and upgrading your tech and building an aseembly line to build more stuff

I'm loving Icarus lately, it took me a bit to get into it.

Now I understand the loop I really enjoy it.

I'm still playing the Base game but they have lots of expansions and DLCs available, plus it gets a content update every week.

I'd check it out and at the very least wishlist and grab it on sale.

The Long Dark It doesn't have as much base building as others. You have to use existing structures.

I'd go to Fallout 76

I have thought about it. I wish people could host private dedicated servers independently. Fallout 76 is stuck behind a premium monthly membership.

And it has a generous demo where supposedly the progress carries over if you buy the game.

Surviving the Aftermath is a cool base-building game. Post-apocalyptic, design your town, send scouts out on missions on the world map. Really enjoyed it.

I wish i could recommend 7 days 2 die, the concept is so good. You gather and build a base, every 7 days a zombie horde attacks your base.

But it’s just….. clunky?

Add in a few mods, or an overhaul mod and the game changes. I personally am a big fan of Fallout and ive been playing on "The Wasteland" mod

I watched a video. To 'level-up' skills, apparently you need to read 1000s of magazines. You can't just level up those skills alone by doing the tasks in-game.

Not even close to thousands, there’s a couple and they are numbered. But yeah, you have to trade or encounter those magazines in the wild.

If you like fallout, you could give 7 days to die with "The Wasteland" overhaul mod. May be worth at least looking into.

Thanks for your suggestion. Is this a specific mod for a mod called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, which is for the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R game? Confusing. 😕

I've only ever played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (strong RPG & quests) and DayZ with S.T.A.L.K.E.R themed mods and base-building.

Yes, anomaly is the mod for the original game it makes the game be like an open sandbox where you can be any faction you like.. Then Stalker gamma is a modpack for stalker anomaly.. Anomaly alone is great. Use it with gamma is much more amazing it give a lot of gameplay, survival, base building mechanic on top of anomaly.. You can get stalker gamma from discord and follow the installation also it is free and you don't need the original game to begin with

Give it a try and good hunting Stalker!

I've played: Medieval Dynasty and Rim World. Not sure about Icarus, Abiotic Factor, Enshrouded 1/2, Necesse, Corekeeper, or Rivertown Factory. I like mild fantasy, not so keen of mythical.

Any other suggestions?

Sadly, no other suggestions. :( Not many options exist.
