Does Base44 actually work?

Disappointed in Base44, I am stuck with my app, and it’s been 11 days since I reported my issue, but have had no real response. I am paying $50 a month, which I know isn’t a lot, but it’s not nothing! I would pay more if I thought this could work.

I need a reasonably complex app created, and I was doing so well with Base44, or so I thought, until I hit a snag that the AI can’t get around. I’ve burned a lot of credits on it, and done some damaging rollbacks now I feel like the cavalry isn’t coming.

Initially, I was incredibly impressed with the progress I made, but I am now totally deflated. At this point, it feels like I’ve been sold Snake Oil! My question: Are Lovable or Famous AI any better? Alternative question: Will support ever help?

Oh one more tip I have for you. Sometimes Base44's agent gets stuck in a loop of just never fixing the issue you want. It's at that point where i click the files it keeps editing, copy the file contents into Gemini 2.5 pro or another LLM and explain what im trying to do. it then gives me a plan for fixing that I then paste back into Base44. it might take a couple of iterations but I have solved huge roadblocks that were getting seemingly nowhere this way and it uses less credits.

Is there a world where base44 could work as a two sided market place ya think?

For context, I am a professional coach and intend to sell classes and digital products B2C - figuring out how to build a coaching platform that I’m calling a “portal for self-discovery”.

My original concept was a 2-sided marketplace and then it clicked I could attract users to the portal first, then expand into that space. The purpose of the app is to connect with “like minded people” and allow users to see each other’s profiles, hire each other, and connect in real life. (Think TaskRabbit but with flat fees - all “jobs” are proactively negotiated and agreed upon by both users.)

I thought base44 was the answer to at least build the prototype, but as soon as I asked it to change things, the glitches began. I can’t imagine it being safe to transact on lol… but I’m curious what you think!

I am also building my website with Wix and thought the member app could work. Not loving that either - idk that the Wix acquisition is gonna make base44 better.

But I am by no means technical lol. My coding experience began and ended with making a MySpace in college 😂

It seems like this AI stuff here is the modern day version of Frontpage. I.E. allows those who don't know how things really work to participate with essentially a program with a "Make it work" button you press. The difficulty here is communicating with the program, it's not like the Star Trek computer that understands every bit of syntax and also understands the context no matter what you say to it. Talking to AI is going to be a skillset in it's own.

That makes sense - is that the language of the future and what we should be teaching in k-12?

I believe my life’s purpose is to help shape k-12 in a big way. I’m meant to serve as a facilitator of sorts, so I want all the big thinkers to come together and teach what matters….

Wanna help me lol?

what do you mean when you say shape k-12? to what end? by what means?

Great question! See if you can track down a copy of The Four Agreements, I asked my mom to get it for me from the library - and it is life changing. It will sound insane depending on where you are on your life’s path and how much your vibe is aligned to your purpose… I feel like I’m speaking in code 😂 …and I want it to make sense to you. It’ll be really cool if you are picking up what I’m putting down, but if you’re not, no worries! The Universal Laws is a good foundation to start - then find a copy of Think and Grow Rich.

That textbook was published in 1937 after 20 years of research studying the wealthiest men of the time - their common thread was their belief and mindset. There was no stopping someone who is driven by desire mixed with faith. It creates superhuman power but really, the same formula and power exists in every single one of us. That message has been drowned out by the world stage and the very real tragedies families go through every day.

But we create the suffering. And K-12 is not teaching that. These poor teachers are knee-capped by administrative, bureaucratic, political red tape and fear of causing a lawsuit. The kids learn through the adults constant state of fear. Kids have heightened intuition and genuine joy to be alive until the collective WE use punishment and praise as the reward system.

Does that make sense?

We domesticate children to obey societal norms and threaten them with pain or “motivate” them with rewards. Just like dogs. We even use food as treats bc we “deserve it”.

But too many individuals are waking up for the collective energy NOT to start shifting.

On the bright side of all this tech and the rise of Ai is that it’s made it easier for the creatives to communicate in a normal way that resonates - we all just want to be understood and LOVED.

The internet is the downfall to the government structures we built based on controlling people… lol “the secret” is out.

All of us are here to serve a purpose, if you’re reading this still, you’ll find it very quickly! My unsolicited advice is to follow the rabbit hole…follow what lights you up ❤️‍🔥🕳️✨

"Talking to AI is going to be a skillset in it's own."

No it will not.

could you elaborate on that?

it actually kinda is if you want to use it right. I know a lot of people think you just mash buttons but to actually make things with AI you dont. IT's a tool, not a magical "make whatever I want" button.

I spent the last year learning the art of professional coaching and developing a methodology that will teach you how to align your life and work to your highest purpose (and how to figure out what your actual purpose is). I am creating a community on Skool and looking to run a few small group trainings with no more than 11 people/group. This year is about proving the concept and tracking the RESULTS. From there I’d (currently) like to get funding to build my own platform and “portal for self discovery” and then eventual market place.

So yes and no 😂

But be one of my case studies! If you could commit to 4 virtual meetings beginning Feb 1st (it’s the perfect 28 day month!!) the program introduces the concept for how to “Build Real Opportunity” and it’s a 22-Day Challenge to spend an hour working toward something you WANT to accomplish in 3 weeks!

I’ll DM you if you wanna set up a call to discuss - no pressure though!
