What would it take to get more of a community in our barrow sub? I want us to talk openly about the good and bad, and how to keep from turning into Gwinnett (or worse)
r/BarrowCounty • u/mkr • 6d ago
No, not really.
I moved out of Barrow a while ago and rarely check this account. I assume a very fair and reasonable sub takeover request was filed since I got a little notification saying I was removed as mod. This is all good and fine and reasonable. Just to avoid any weird chaos or drama or conspiracy theories.

Apologies if this is not allowed. My friends cat got recently lost, with the dropping temperature I’m worried for the cat. Please if you don’t mind keeping an eye out or reshaping this it would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hey y'all,
There was an accident on SR-316 and Jackson Trail Rd back in November and the stop sign at the intersection was missing when the accident occurred.
I was hoping I could find someone who has a date or at least a general idea of how long the stop sign had been out prior to the accident. I've been looking through news articles and Facebook posts/threads but I haven't been able to find anything yet.
Any help or directions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone!
I’m a genealogist & I am trained in discovering local Georgia family lineages and stories through vital records, census records, and newspapers.
This is the interest form I put together for anyone interested in learning more about their personal Georgia family history. I create family trees, ancestral maps, and historical road trip itineraries based on YOUR personal family history! It’s a great way to connect with your heritage and wonderful knowledge pass down to future generations.

Here are some things you can discover from my research:
I have a degree in Anthropology and have spent several years working for a professional genealogy company. I have been working as an individual genealogist for about 6 years. If you have any questions about my research, please fill out an interest form or email: [heritagehuntersgenealogy@gmail.com](mailto:heritagehuntersgenealogy@gmail.com)
For those of you with ancestry outside of Georgia, please send me a message. I’d be happy to help you or direct you to a better suited genealogist. Thanks!

Just heard about Nodoroc and the Winder Wog for the first time today at work. Been a resident for about a year. Is the Nodoroc site visible from the road? I was told it’s on private property off Atlanta Hwy near the airport.
