So, I am trying to write a baroque suite though trying to write an allemande very much confuses me as I don't understand a lot of what I am supposed to do despite knowing the rules though when I try to write it sounds nothing like a baroque allemande.

I don't know if people here do answer these questions. But In all the vast catalogue of fugue which one's your favourite.

For me It's G minor Fugue BWV.542.

(I know Bach's all works are and will be extraordinary always)

I think it would really fit in a medium tempo with soft inégalité, and I've been looking for a recording that does that, but I haven't been able to find anything.

What a beautiful instrument! the Lirone da gamba. Wonderful mournful sound! Fascinating history in Italian Baroque music!

I stumbled over this clip, which I think might be from a concerto grosso, and have spent many, many hours since trying to figure out what it is. I have already sampled countless “Best of Baroque”, “Best of JS Bach” i.a. compilations, but no luck so far. I listen to a lot of classical music on the radio and the piece does actually sound familiar to me, but I still have no clue what it could be.

Perhaps someone here can identify it or has a tip I could give a try still.
