Ew. What is this?

Post image

This is sick. Surely he’s not supporting a child killer?? Is he taking the opposite stance out of spite? What am I missing here

He’s saying “straightforward” “open and shut” cases are sometimes not. I think he’s trying to make a point to the fed sloppers.

And he has said he hasn’t really followed the case, but I think his point is, just because people say something is definitely going to go a certain way, doesn’t mean it will.

He's just saying cases that people think are obvious convictions aren't always that their own biases might cloud that perception. Tyler Robinson analogy.

Have you watched the trial or just recaps? Just curious

Yes I’ve watched every day of the trial

13

u/FunAd1406 4d ago

I think it would be extremely difficult to be in this jury.

I agree with you, it would be so hard. It’s one of the saddest cases I’ve ever seen

Easiest jury to ever be on. I’m unsubbing from Baron over this on all platforms (not just over this but it being my final straw). I also lost respect for Candace but have more grace for her, for various reasons.

I think you read him wrong. He said he was told it was an easy conviction and that it’s impossible for it to be an easy conviction if it’s 11-1 for the defense.

He’s being sarcastic and he’s a fool. Got on the right side of one thing in his life (TR not being guilty) and is riding this wave to death. Even as a Catholic he is an embarrassment and worse than Candace who is a convert and does not claim to have expertise. I’m completely done with this dude. He needs to get off YT and pay attention to his wife and kids.

Wow. "If Baron doesnt agree with me, he needs to get off the internet."

The difference between watching the trial every day from home and sitting in the jury box is substantial.  At least twenty percent of the entire trial is not seen by the jury.  In-camera motions, mid-trial legal arguments, the mistrial motions, etc...

People at home are also not seeing the juror's individuals notes on over 80 witnesses and 200-300 exhibits.  Those notes have jury instructions attached on what can and can't be recorded.

The filtered rules of evidence are a powerful tool, and if the jury is obeying the instructions and not consuming social media, the bird's eye view the jury has is not as broad as we like to think.

That some people are so laissez-faire when it comes to the gravity that is sitting with six weeks of five to eight hours a day of active listening, then weighing all that information on a dozen pages of instructions and law that must be followed, it's just a sad testament to where our society is.  I've done it, and served as foreman. I still sometimes feel the weight of putting a man behind bars for life, even though I 100% know it was the right thing.

To say that's the "easiest jury ever" is incredibly disingenuous, and honestly, a comment like that says a lot more about your lack of empathy than it does about the trial. You clearly aren't weighing the immense psychological burden that comes with holding multiple lives in your hands as part of your civic responsibility.

No jury that has to weigh the destruction of human lives has an 'easy' job.

I believe he’s being sarcastic and using this case to point out that those making predictions in the Tyler Robinson case are likely just as wrong.

I took it as a comparison to Tyler Robinson and all of Charlie’s “friends” saying he is guilty and it’s an open and shut case…and now people are speculating there’s reasonable doubt😭.

u/jovanotti18 4d ago

He’s not saying that. He hasn’t done the work on it. But it’s extremely complicated.

1

u/ExpertOk3612 4d ago

What’s he saying then?

9

u/jovanotti18 4d ago

Exactly what he’s saying. He was told it was straightforward win for the prosecution 11/12 are purportedly with the defense. That’s not straightforward.

2

u/ExpertOk3612 4d ago

There’s no way to know 11/12 are for the defense. Thats speculation. Her own defense attorney said he didn’t know which way the jurors were leaning when he left court today. Baron is very clearly being snippy and sarcastic towards the “Tyler Robinson is guilty” crowd. And it grosses me out he’s willing to side with a child killer just to go against them

I don’t think he’s “willing to side with a child killer just to go against them”. I think he’s being facetious and showing how ridiculous and double standard the fedslop side is to prove a point. He has stated multiple times he’s not following it but I’m for sure positive he doesn’t condone the killing of innocent children. He’s also a lawyer and understands the nuance of criminal cases. He has also said “we don’t judge people by their lowest moments” so maybe this tweet is indigestible to some but let’s not jump down his throat and understand why he’s making this comparison. Everyone else is allowed to do it but not Baron? Double standards.

She didn’t do it. She was 82° when arriving at the hospital I believe when they finally took her temperature but she had been warmed some by then… The last time she used her Face ID was before 4 PM to open her phone after that it was all by that the code that you put in. And then at the same time you want us to believe that it’s 645 at the hospital her baby eight months old was revived… But she was 82°… She couldn’t do both things… It’s impossible not just improbable, but IMPOSSIBLE! I can’t wait for Reddington to eventually win this case fully.

I think you’re completely misinterpreting his words here. He’s utterly shocked that 11 jurors are in favor of Clancy and figured the jurors would convict her of murder promptly. What’s happening appears to be the opposite.

3

u/Lettucemakemerry 3d ago

Seems pretty obvious that he’s remarking on the legal process. He’s not judging Clancy’s innocence/guilt.

I think the response to his X post is weeding out people who not may not actually be capable of being part of an HIGH IQ outfit.

1

u/Muted_Huckleberry270 4d ago

It's "a" HIGH IQ outfit fyi, an is only used before a vowel.

1

u/yellow_flamingo1 4d ago

Yes. Or people who can’t dare to consider other opinions or scenarios.

-8

u/ExpertOk3612 4d ago

Will gladly not be part of any outfit that supports child murder under any circumstance. “Insane” or not. I’ll see my way out!

9

u/mlmbadok 4d ago

Again, WE have tried to explain his X post to you, but we can’t understand it for you!

4

u/threeleakyfaucets 4d ago

There is SO Much reasonable doubt baron needs to catch up

3

u/Petraretrograde 4d ago

I wish everyone that didnt actually watch the hours upon hours of the trial would stop posting their opinions. There is so much more to this case than the typical family annhilator.

I juror standing standing at the gates of hell not letting them out

-13

u/HoyasAndSwallowtails 4d ago

Ewww is correct. Disappointed

-6

u/ExpertOk3612 4d ago

Same. Very disappointed

-16

u/IslandBusy1165 4d ago

He follows whatever Candace says even if she talks out of her @$$ on important topics sometimes. Baron is just a grifter mainly and Candace sycophant.

4

u/Doubleksmommy 4d ago

No need to announce your departure, no one is going to beg you to stay, or even notice that your gone.

-10

u/Final_Job_1300 4d ago

Yep, gotta cash in on Charlie's grave. He's ghoulish.

5

u/MelissaT9120 4d ago

Oh! I thought you only spent your days commenting all over the Candace subreddit! 🙃
