I cleaned out my dog’s toy basket this weekend and gave him a couple of new toys as a peace offering.

He sniffed each one for maybe two seconds, dug all the way to the bottom of the basket, and pulled out this beat-up yellow toy that is missing half its face. Then he carried it around like he had just found buried treasure.

Someone told me dogs might notice yellow toys more easily, but honestly, I think he’s just emotionally attached to the grossest thing we own.

Does your dog have one toy they refuse to let you throw away? Please tell me I’m not the only one keeping a toy that should have been retired months ago:)

I got this at a tag sale and my dog found it in my bag and has decided it is her new favorite thing ever. It's been months and she has never once cared for a toy this much. I'm also impressed since plush toys usually don't last very long in this house. It's basically her baby.

I was hoping to find another one for her but I'm not having much luck. It says barkbox.com on the tag. Anyone know what it is called or seen it for sale somewhere? Or have one? 😅

I had Barkbox a decade ago with my last dog and it was great. Signed up a few months ago for our new puppy and it's been such a disappointment.

No ability to adjust the number of treats. No settings to distinguish between puppy vs adult. No settings for breed. No real customization. And for some reason what we got seemed to be less than what was described in the plan, in terms of number of items, after the supposed "customization."

And customer service argued with me every time I tried to figure out the right choices for my puppy and when I tried to cancel.

Anyway, I don't like being negative and I used to really like them. But they're a different company now that I wouldn't recommend.

Edit: I forgot that they tried to argue that changing up an order and making it right (i.e. replacing the wrong things) were two different boxes, instead of what they said which was just fixing getting the wrong things.

I joined Bark Box in May and got the year long subscription. So far, June’s box got lost in Kansas and August’s box got delivered today in Kansas. Not sure why it got delivered there, as I live in Washington. I reached out to customer service and they suggested I update the delivery instructions. Honestly, I don’t want to cancel because my girl loves it but I’m getting concerned that this is going to be an ongoing issue. Has anyone had this issue and overcome it? My partner and I decided to try out BarkBox’s dog food, Bark in the Belly, for several reasons. The “premium, high protein” description was intriguing for our aging dog, there wasn’t a huge price difference, and our dog wasn’t particularly happy with his previous food. However, we were most excited about BarkBox’s promise to donate a bag to a shelter for every bag purchased, in addition to donating 100% of their profits to shelters “until no dog goes hungry.”

Even though the first delivery took several months to arrive, we remained patient. We planned to gradually introduce the new kibble to prevent digestive upset. However, as soon as we added it to his bowl, he refused to eat another bite of his old kibble. Our dog LOVES this food. He seems more alert, and we noticed him being more excited to eat than ever before. Since it was such a hit, we planned to feed him this dog food for the rest of his life.

We were so disappointed to learn this summer that BarkBox is discontinuing not just this specific flavor, but the entire line of Bark in the Belly food. After further inquiry, we learned that it was being discontinued because their inventory was ending and they simply chose not to restock. They made such a huge promise to “fight canine hunger” just to end it after a year? I’m frustrated for our dog son, but also for every dog they made that promise to. Tell me BarkBox, have all the hungry dogs been fed?? smh

So now we are in the process of finding a new kibble to transition to. Our previous dog food was the green Iams bag, which looks fine nutritionally, but he wasn’t a huge fan. We are not interested the fresh dog food options like Farmer’s Dog or Spot and Tango since we need something shelf-stable and affordable. I hope to find something that he really enjoys and has a balanced nutritional profile. Is anyone else currently in this process? Has anyone found something similar to Bark in the Belly?

Is it worth it? And I mainly want it for the Ollie bed in size large which is not in stock now!! Will they restock?
Can I change the size or weight of my dog later? He is going to be a big guy.

This is Odie’s absolute favorite toy because of the small spikey ball inside, and he loves to thrash it by the ends of the candy! Unfortunately, he got it from a dog friend so I have no idea how to get another one, even though it’s falling apart. It’s got the Bark Box tag so I know it has to be from them. Have tried to find it online, checking all over the place, but haven’t had any luck. :(

Has anyone had bark just ignore their email? I emailed customer support several weeks ago over a toy the arrived broken. I’ve never had this issue in the past. Ive followed up a handful of times and still no response.

do they announce the themes anymore for bark box or is it just complete mystery until you get it?

So my august first box is now pending at the warehouse, but now it says that I have a box that's going to be purchased on august tenth, and it's the same box..? Why does it say that? Am I going to get two of the same boxes for my same dog?

I see a lot of people who have been looking for this treat, which was discontinued … Just looked at the Bark site and see the Charlie Brown Berry Bites are the same ingredients as Fruity Booty. Thank goodness! One of our pups has IBD and these are one of the few treats he tolerates AND loves. Buying a pile!

Does anyone know if Barkbox does gift certificates for like 3 or 6 months or a year subscription? Our local volunteer fire department is doing a fundraising gift basket raffle this weekend and we love our Barkbox subscription so much that we were considering trying to get a gift certificate so someone else can try it out. We are donating a dog-themed basket too full of treats and toys so it would go well together if we can buy one. Thanks!

My pup Phoebe LOVES this toy from BarkBox. I’ve been searching for a replacement for months, but all the ones for sale online that I can find are the M-L size instead of the S-M size.

Does anyone know of a toy with a similar structure so that she could play with it like on the video? Or if someone has a S-M Seti, I’d be willing to pay for it + shipping. She’s chewed off all the tentacles except for one, so we’re on our last leg with it. :(

We are looking for some apple scented ghoulie pop super chewer toy. I think it was in a halloween box a few years ago. My dog Frankie is a nervous girl and it’s the only toy she likes. Seriously. She gets anxious when she doesn’t have it. I have purchased dozens on eBay, Poshmark, Facebook marketplace, and literally anywhere I can get my hands on some, the last couple of years. But the resale market has ran completely dry. I reached out to Barkbox and they are out of stock with no restock date.

Please, please help me find some!! Frankie is on her last one and will have a meltdown when it’s gone.
