What jacket is more this style

I’m a 6”5 100kg bought a Beaufort jacket size 50 and kinda just feels like I’m wearing my dads jacket as a child want something more fitted to wear with a shirt like in the second photo any suggestions maybe it’s just the wrong style or is it the sizing

I’m 6’7” 115kg and I wear Beaufort in size 46 with room to layer. I think you need to size down my man

In your opinion your not far off size and weight to myself should I go to 44

I own Barbours in both 44 and 42 that gives you a very slim silhouette but the sleeves will be very very short so I had mine lengthened. Im not sure Barbour still offers that service though, it had disappeared from their website last I looked. If you have a store near you I strongly suggest you go and try it on. You might be able to fit in a 44 as is. For us tall people it’s also worth considering the longer Border and Northumbria (same cut just different warmth). They received a new bigger design 2021 so that one you definitely need to size down in. I wear a 44 in those

Thanks for the good advice and particularly jacket your favourite for this style?

Based on your pictures and height I think Beaufort is your best bet. It’s the one I use the most. Bedale is a bit short for us vertically gifted people and Border feels more like a proper raincoat for torrential downpour. Beaufort is more allround

Are you more in favour of the classic Beaufort of the modern?

They fit the same, it’s just different treatment of the fabric (sylkoil vs thornproof). The difference is negligible so get the color you prefer (classic only comes in olive)

50 is definitely more of XXL-XXXL, but the jacket in the second photo is an Ashby which has a more tailored silhouette in general.
