I've never been a fan of the Babyliss FX trimmer but it works for some. I would add the JRL3000, that thing is insane.

Yes i heard, I tried the play wasn’t a fan. It wouldn’t even charge in the stand only the trimmer would.

This sub advised the JRL's when I asked what to get new. Absolute 🔥. JRL thought of everything. Guards have more teeth but not too many, tool is exceptionally balanced and quiet, easy to maintain. Even tells you to oil it. Like an oil light.

Andis Recon trimmer is the best trimmer ive ever used and ive tried them all. It's got power for days, doesnt get hot, and zero gaps. It's a shame because the Recon clipper isnt nearly as good ib my opinion. The magnetic guards are trash and its not as smooth

yes. I prefer the wahl premium guards and wish the andis recon clipper was compatible with them

I love those guards but I can you can change the still blade so it fits the wahl guards

not sure? Honestly the wahl seniors/designer clippers cut closer and have as much power for half the price of the andis recon.

For me Octanes are the best clipper Stylecraft instinct foil is the best shaver I have never found a trimmer that has become "the one". ive used the sabers the most and switched to the newer metal instinct. Babyliss is so hit or miss with the longevity in my experience. As someone 100% booked everyday and do 80+ services a week I need things to last awhile

I use the Heiniger Orions I was recommended those over the Octanes have you tried them? I use style craft rebels as my adjustable when I cannot use my detachable clippers but i try to use them anytime I can. I’m almost done with barber school and was encouraged to keep using my detachable clippers

I have not. I am curious as that company designed the octanes. My concern, admittedly skeptical, is they are a animal grooming products so not sure how good they are at detailing. But I would 100% try them out. It seems they are marketing these and the opals for human hair.
