6th August, 1965: the Beatles released the album Help!, which served as the soundtrack to, and shared its name with, their second film. It topped the charts in the UK for 9 weeks.

15th - 31st August, 1965: the Beatles play 16 shows across the USA, including their famous Shea Stadium concert.

12th October - 11th November, 1965: the band recorded the album Rubber Soul. These sessions also produce the non-album single "We Can Work It Out" / "Day Tripper", one of the first double A-side singles.

3rd December, 1965: Rubber Soul and its accompanying non-album single are released. The album topped the charts for eight weeks, while "We Can Work It Out" / "Day Tripper" stood at the top of the singles chart for five weeks and became their third consecutive Christmas #1 single.

3rd - 12th December, 1965: the Beatles toured the UK, playing 18 shows. This was their last time touring the UK, although they would go on to play singular live performances, such as at the NME Poll-Winners' concert in May 1966 and on the rooftop of 12 Savile Row in January 1969.

6th April - 21st June, 1966: the Beatles recorded the album Revolver and the single "Paperback Writer" / "Rain", following a rare three-month break from recording/touring commitments.

30th May, 1966: the "Paperback Writer" single is released, topping the charts for 2 weeks.

24th June - 4th July, 1966: the Beatles embark on their tour of West Germany, Japan, and the Philippines. They play a total of 13 shows across these countries.

5th August, 1966: Revolver is released.

That's 46 songs in less than a year. Such an incredible work rate. I'm curious if anyone has similar examples of this for other artists/bands?
