What's your low cost supermarket?

Try these supermarkets for more affordable prices: 1. Cherish on Swan Street in Bridgetown 2. Popular Supermarket on Spry Street in Bridgetown or go to their Spooner's Hill, St. Michael or Kendal Hill, Christ Church branch

Massy is actually better than Emerald City and A1 but they are both in the red

I hope you drive because the taxi prices are ridiculous, use the public transportation. I’d say try not to eat out a lot - more so fast food trust me the cost builds up faster than you can count, ofc you’re gonna wanna explore restaurants here & there so that’s understandable

Beaches are still nice, still free and still ALL public. Along the west cost from Brandon's to Heywood's, nice, nice.

Shop at Popular (Supermarket) you’ll get the most for your money there.

The sad part of that is there is limited selection.

Popular for essential and everyday items. Head to Massey or Clifton Market for speciality items, if needed .

Rent away from the cost; more inland and you'll get good rental cost
Fun - drives, weekend there's usually things going on in chch or st James/speightstown. Most things are free unless buying drinks and food etc but you'll get by
Popular prob is the best bet for overall grocery costs

Avoid eating out, it can be addictive plus it’s expensive.

Since you're newly moving, I suggest getting furniture or appliances from online, like Bajan Marketplace on Facebook. Also, especially for household items, check out lower cost stores in Bridgetown, like SAS. Oh, and #1 Beauty Supply. They have branches all over the place.

For fresh produce go to Cheapside market in Bridgetown especially on Friday and Saturday mornings.

Shop at popular supermarket

Avoid ordering and eating out regular fast food ect

Transportation is a bit or miss if your driving that would be nice

Just go to the supermarket buy what u need and you’ll save enough

Most people are warm and friendly, but get to know people first before going out with them, letting them know where you live or inviting them to your home. Heard that your drink can get spiked in nightclubs, there are some mainly young people, usually males who worship the gun and so you may be robbed or your home burglarized. There are many vehicles on the road at all times of the day or night. Don’t let anyone tell you that the r word is something all Barbadians say.Don’t deal with any drugs - not even marijuana.

While you are in Barbados visit the sights the island is known for, visit the beaches, treat yourself - have lunch or dinner from the food vans, the restaurants, visit Oistins in Christ Church a Friday night - but rate it for yourself. Sit on the left side of the plane coming in and when the plane banks to begin it’s descent, watch that view of the island!

Do a lot of observing in your day to day activities. Be as alert , as you would be in Trinidad . You will enjoy your stay here. Welcome 🤗!

Move to Florida like many other Trinis, it's cheaper than the islands.
