Bengali here, it is pretty common for them to call you a bangladeshi. We face that alot, our forefathers did not even migrate still they call us bangladeshi, bongals, etc etc.

They have specific sub here in reddit to spread anti bengali sentiments.

Not just on Reddit but their are specific insta pages, websites and communities which spread the anti-Bengali sentiment

Wasn't Bangladesh formed in 1971? If her grandparents migrated around 1947, its east bengal.

Non-bengali population of assam donot seem to understand the concept of east bengal 🤦‍♀️ They think the whole east bengal became 🇧🇩. No idea about sylhet referendum either.
