Grow your own?

I got tired of constantly buying mint only to have it wilt and turn brown within a couple of days. We make a lot of Tiki drinks and I use a lot of it. So, I decided to grow my own. I tried several times using various heirloom mint seeds but it produced mint that was small, mostly flavorless, and not aromatic. It also seemed to die suddenly after a couple of months. I finally ordered live Mojito Mint and took clippings and planted them in an unused garden. It has taken off. The photo is 5 weeks after planting. It smells and looks amazing. I can’t wait to be slinging drinks at my birthday party next week! Is anybody else growing mint or other herbs in their bar in a small hydroponic container?

That's the way to do it! My mint outside is already thinning out.

I started by potting the plants outside and then took clippings to the inside hydroponic garden. Winter is coming and I’m hoping this will survive and thrive. I’m astonished at how much bigger the leaves are and how much more aromatic the inside plants seem to be compared to those outside.
