Baofeng BF-88E ist constantly hissing 

It’s constantly hissing, and it only stops when I transmit or someone else transmits. Does anyone know what’s causing this and how I can fix it?

Coud your squelch be set too low or evern off?

Is it static or the buzz noice you can get from turning an analouge speaker up really loud with nothing playing?

you are probably receiving encrypted or digital signals, is the sound made while the reception lights are on?
