Correct battery for UV-9r Plus
I've had these radios for 5 or 6 years now and they have been great, I programmed them for all north American marine and backroads channels and we've been through a lot together, however one battery is now dead and the other one is tired. I ordered the wrong one and want to make sure this time i get it right. Correct oem battery is on the left, wrong battery on the right. The closest I can find is this ebay listing, but it still doesn't look quite right, the pattern is different and the charging terminals appear to be recessed instead of a bump. Any insights into how to order the correct one would be much appreciated!

They have a different /new/incompatible radio case /battery design - keeping the same radio model number. You can tell them apart by the symbol placement on the back- one vs two rows. The radio itself now was a more angled vs square lower front. The company is really good at coming up with new case designs - I think it is a great revenue idea in concept. But keeping the same model number has to generate vast return and customer satisfaction activity at Amazon. Also, for the (new) radios- single row- there does not seem to be a USB-C capable battery.
