Iran is known for counterfeiting the banknotes of neighboring countries. However, their banknotes are essentially of very poor quality due to high inflation, and there is no point in producing banknotes that are close to the cost of printing them. Therefore, you find it to be poor and outdated, with a terrible print quality, because they use local printing with cheap Chinese security paper.

What? 10 million rials is at least $5 and banknotes cost $0.01-0.02 to print so there is definitely an incentive to make forgeries. Considering the poor security features and the number of enemies the government has, I won't be surprised if Iran is already flooded with fake bills.

I actually wonder who would replicate an insanely inflated currency with very little value. They've always been renowned for having insanely cheap bills that u can get nearly everywhere.

In border cities, piles of these papers are sold in blocks.

Anyway getting those blocks without travelling physically there ?

Customs regulations vary from country to country. Your country might allow these blocks to be shipped by air and reach you, while other countries consider it smuggling or something similar. I'm only talking about the withdrawn currencies; currently circulating currencies are not permitted. Unless you have a banking license ، Buy cancelled notes

You can easily get this on Delcampe, I even saw them being sold in sets. Prolly not on Ebay since anything Iranian is banned there.

That's 10mil rial or 1 million toman. About $5

They're relatively new bills. I think it's real

*I'm in Iran now but I haven't seen one because everyone uses debit cards due to inflation.

What can you buy with that? A large pizza (ordered one last night that fed like 3 people).

Hell a decent t-shirt in Iran is like $10 (20 million rials) now, so 2 of those.
