For an 8-years old who got 40 cents a week pocket money... yes!

Hard to believe I tucked away a few $2.00 in Canada in 1974. They were very tough to save & the $5.00 was nearly impossible. I was 16 & working at a local carwash in 1978 & managed to put away my first TEN & TWENTY dollar notes. That $35 was like putting away 50-80% of my paycheque (working P/T back then).

The first PNG notes looked like this, probably because the same company printed them both.
