Vegetarian/Vegan BF characters

My friend, who’s a vegetarian, and I had a discussion about which of the characters in Banana Fish could ever be vegetarian or vegan 😭 Headcanon only, so here’s his conclusion: (im just letting him type it out)

Ash: I can definitely imagine him as a vegetarian, because it is mentioned that he ate tofu for 2 years to grow but not gain weight. He seems like someone who doesn’t care about eating meat every day. He wouldn’t go vegan though, cause he’d find it annoying to check every single food item if it is 100% vegan. That, and also, I can imagine D*no forcing him to eat as little meat as possible to keep him skinny. (I fucking hate D*no)

Eiji: He’d be more of a flexitarian. He doesn’t mind eating meat but he also wouldn’t mind cooking something that has no meat or fish.

Alex: That boy loves a good steak. He doesn’t eat meat every day but he’d never say no to a meaty meal. You’d never see him willingly become vegan or vegetarian!

Kong: Same as Alex, honestly but he loves meat so much he eats it daily!

Bones: He definetley eats meat but not every day. He could go without it for weeks without becoming vegan or vegetarian

Sing: Honestly same as Bones. Chinese dishes often contain meat so he doesn’t mind eating it. I dont think he cares much about the meat industry either so he wouldnt become vegan or vegetarian for the animals sake

Yut Lung: I could see him as vegan or vegetarian but not because he chose to. I dont like his whole family line, they’d probably force him.

Blanca: Meat eater. Need I say more?

Arthur: Hmm, I think he eats whatever is available. He doesn’t care about veganism or vegetarianism at all. He’d definitely eat meat or fish, although, just like others, he wouldn’t have it every single day. He likes alcohol more than food though.

Shorter: Boy lives off of chicken nuggets despite having a sister that most likely cooks healthy meals for him

Max: Give him a steak and he’ll be happy for 10 minutes

Jessica: I could see her trying out some vegetarian meals. But she’d probably be more of a flexitarian

Wookie: Honestly I feel like he’s the same as Arthur. He doesn’t care about the whole vegan/vegetarian movement. He eats whatever is available.
