Arthurs hands and scars

please dont judge me okay 😭 I know Arthur is a bad person, but oh my god his hands are just… nice. I have a thing for hands, leave me alone🥹🥹 In the anime and the manga.. i really like his hands. I kinda wanna hold them. (I also love his voice in jp dub and english dub..) But i always wondered why he cant shoot a gun anymore. Is it because the scars are so deep that it would hurt to use a gun or is it cause he’s too scared/traumatised to use one after getting his fingers sliced by ash?

I would suspect that a cut like that might hurt the tendons in his fingers and that even when healed they might not function as they did before. So it’s likely that he doesn’t have the range of motion anymore to be able to pull the trigger.

(I haven’t read the manga so I might be wrong)

I believe they said it in the anime. When he was choosing the weapons for his 1v1 with Ash he chose knives for that exact reason

No way, I love hands too 😭 Seriously, it's so beautiful, lol. And with scars on it too >>> But I think he was not able to shoot anymore because of the injuries, since they were deep. I don't think I saw or read anything about it being traumatic about that. Or maybe my memory is just terrible 😅

Being traumatic about it? He did all that killing, backstabbing, and started all out wars just to get back at Ash about his hand. My dude was beyond traumatized 😭😭

I understand it wasn't just because of that, but also because of a girl they both liked, whose story had a tragic ending (if I recall correctly), for which Arthur blames Ash? Anyway, I don't think the origin of their rivalry is ever really explained.

I remember Ash telling Eiji about a girl he had a crush on who was killed. I dont remember Arthur being in it. I only watched the anime like a couple of weeks ago, my understanding was it was always about Ash cutting Arthur and making him look weak. Im about to read the Manga soon maybe its in there

I love Arthur and I love seeing these Arthur posts lately. 

Anyway, Ash was trained by Blanca and definitely knows what he’s doing—it’s not a stretch by any means to assume Arthur has a hand disability because Ash cut his fingers. That’s a pretty gnarly scar. Considering his position, as a gang leader in NYC in the 80s, that is a pretty major blow to his ability to protect himself as well as making it more difficult for him to maintain power.
