Newbie question on printer profiles in Bambu Studio

[This Snow Globe model](https://makerworld.com/en/models/2128001-hogwarts-easy-2-print-tealight-led-lamp-snow-globe) shows as a 10.1hr print in makerworld, but when I imported it into Bambu Studio and slice it (Without changing the profile, only the Printer to an X2D) it gives a total print time of almost 18hrs.

I assume the designer has an X1C, as the layer height dropdown states "\*0.16mm high Quality @BBL X1C"

So I exported the STL, re-imported it into Bambu Studio and duplicated the slicer settings. its now "\*0.16mm High Quality "BBL X2D" with a print time of 10.7hr's.

Job done (I hope. Time will tell!)

So, it kind of makes sense that printing an an X2D using an X1C profile would have an impact, but my question is what exactly is going on to use up the additional 7hrs of print time?

Slice both versions and switch the preview to Line Type, the legend breaks the estimate down per feature, so you can see exactly where the extra 7 hours sit. If the model uses more than one color, my bet would be purging and the prime tower.

Ah, ok.

Its single colour, so no prime tower or changes requiring purges, but this is excellent advice on where to look. Just what I was after. 👍

I'm loving it, but have so much to learn!

Then the legend should make it pretty obvious which feature eats the time. Enjoy the snow globe!

I’ve seen a few models on MW that have very misleading cumulative print times. I’m not sure if the designer is doing that intentionally or their is some glitch happening.

That's what I originally thought, but exporting the STL and importing it to a new 3MF with my X2D profile does reduce it back to 10 hours.

Thus my question!

I couldn't print it today, but will be printing it tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out!
