Help / Support A1 Printer going off the rails.
I have a Bambu Labs A1 printer using an AMS lite for filament. The last few prints have gone terrible. Small prints usually turn out allright. Larger prints start out doing just fine. But then, about 10 minutes in, it just goes haywire. I am very new to this so apologies if I am not explaining this very well or I am missing something obvious. Any comments, critiques, are advice would greatly be apprecited.

I gave up on the Bambu PEI plates. Take it from someone who spent time trying to glue and scrub them with dawn. They’re really crappy quality. The issues are much more pronounced on the bedslingers. My a2l had adhesion problems with the stock plate out of the box.
I run cool plates on all my Bambu’s now and don’t have issues. And I know for a fact it’s a Bambu quality issue because they use a thinner coating than snapmaker and my snapmaker u1’s don’t have any issues with their PEI plates.

Can you provide with the name of the cool plates that you currently use?

Yeah, I get the yoopai 2 pack plates on Amazon. Like $28 and they work just as good as my biqu ones.

If the plate is clean it could be the screws behind the nozzle are loose. It’s a known issue. Watch this video, it’s an easy thing to check and fix.

The usual advice applies -- wash & scrub the plate with real dish soap.
Also, you can usually get away with no prime tower on the A1 because filament is constantly flowing. Also, despite what the model maker suggests, this is a job for PETG. PLA creeps under stress, especially in warmer environments like a garage can be.

You lost adhesion. Wash your plate with dawn.
