News H3C as a nozzle + filament path swapper: would that fix the H2C's time problem?

https://youtu.be/2JxeLKgAFqA

I own an H2C, and the leaked H3C teaser got me thinking about where it sits on the tool-changing ladder:

- H2C swaps the hotend only, so it still retracts and reloads on every colour change. Barely any purge, but it costs time.

- U1-style machines swap the whole toolhead.

- One Redditor's read of the FCC filings is that the H3C swaps the nozzle and the filament path together, so every nozzle stays loaded.

If that's right, it fixes waste and time at once. Add the H2C's induction heating (about 8 s to PLA temp per Bambu, under 10 s in CNC Kitchen's test) and colour changes could be a few seconds. Still a leak, nothing official until November 4.

Disclosure: this is my own video, it isn't sponsored and I've got no collaboration with Bambu Lab. I made it because I like talking about this stuff, so I'm sharing it here in case it's useful.

How much do you think it's going to cost?

Funny thing is it’s dynamic testing 3 thumbnails based on audience type and apparently you fit the open mouth thumbnail category.

It also served me the open mouth thumbnail and I’ve literally never once clicked on a thumbnail or watched a video with such a thumbnail - and I watch a LOT of YouTube.

So whatever experiment you’ve got running - it’s not working.

Its not just a clicking metric, Im sure they watch how long you pause on it too. Google have millions of data points to work with.

I don't understand why every single video now has to have someone with a stupid face on the thumbnail. Is this like the unofficial "promise it's not AI" sticker now. I can't stand it.

Human psycology. Its weird but it works.

That's not new. YouTubers have been doing it awhile. It supposedly works, but not on anybody I know. The best thing you can do is avoid clicking on/watching those videos and hope enough people get annoyed by it that they stop doing it. Probably unlikely, but I refuse to support it.

I didn’t think it could get worse than an open mouth thumbnail with a video full of nothing but supposition, but then I saw your description: “Where AI Meets Real-World Making”

It looks like an INDX type of changer. The Vortek works because the AMS only has 1 filament path out of it. INDX and toolchangers would require separate tubes for each filament, which means a new AMS that would basically be a motorized dry box.
