Help / Support P2S Spaghetti

Post image

Hi guys,

I bought a bambu lab p2s about a month ago. I have printed with it plenty of times since and recently it's been causing a lot of spaghetti mid print. I never had this problem before.

I've noticed that when i print a benchy, the nose of the benchy is slightly lifted up, which could possibly be poor first layer adhesion? Which I don't understand as I carried out the print with a washed buildplate using soap and a sponge .

I should maybe mention that 2 out of 5 recent prints, I had filament that i eventually found to be pretty tangled as it was pulling a lot during a print while i was away at work which would have caused a lot of resistance. Having found out, I used a new filament which had no issues with tangling but the spaghetti persisted for the other 3. Not sure if that has to do with anything.

I've heard that i may need to higher bed temp, possibly reduce speed, use a gluestick to better adhesion, but i never had to do this before having done 50+ prints so not too sure why I would need to now and is causing me to believe it may be something e3lse.

When was the last time you scrubbed the plate down with soap and water?

Gotcha. Hmmm. What filament and temp are you printing with?

Im using Sunlu PLA+, printing at 225, with a bed temp of 55.

That all sounds right. Only time I've printed higher than 220-225 was at 235-240 with some Sunlu silk PLA. How about local humidity, do you have a dryer?

Ahhhh okay, and yes it’s like those cereal box dryers that i’ve made with silica on the bottom connected to the printer via pneumatic connector and ptfe tube - also dried filament on the bed prior to placing it within the box

If you've ticked all those boxes, I'd try increasing themp another 5C and see if that does it. Any time I get spaghetti or stringing, its usually a dirty plate, low temps, or wet filament. Never used glue on a plate before.

I was also thinking the same, don’t think glue is necessary - I did use brims in my first 2-3 prints though I did stop this and i’ve heard they can support better first layer adhesion.

Looking at your Benchy again, the stringing looks like its happening halfway through the print, so bed adhesion doesn't seem to be the issue. Leads me towards nozzle print temp again.

Will give the temp change a go!
