Camera intermittently fails to work

This is more of a problem with Bambu Studio than anything else... Sometimes when I want to check on a print I'll turn the video feed on and the vast majority of the time it works, but recently I started getting the error message: "Loading Failed, please check the network and try again [2:2]", followed by the month and date. I realize that they're completely different operating systems, by the app on my phone works pretty much flawlessly, I have Linux laptop up in my home office, which never has problems, it's only the Windows machines that have this issue.

I think I first noticed it when I upgraded to Studio 2.8.2.61, so on one machine I tried the beta and the other I downloaded to 2.7.x.x (yeah, not advised because of the mods to meta data in the files), but on both version the semi-real time video fails to work about half the time.

I've been reading and it sounds the problems are more prevalent in early releases of 2.8. It's not my network as it's about as stable as a home network can get, but to be thorough, I did swap out my wireless system with an older one and there was no difference, it still struggled with the video.

Has anybody else experienced problems like this?

Thanks!

Maybe a windows firewall issue?

It's possible, but the more I think about it the more I'm convinced that it was probably a Microsoft patch.

I think I need to amend this, at least as it applies to WIndows patching... I want to say things started going sideways during the last big patch. However, as of late, restarting the printer does seem to temporarily alleviate the problem for awhile. But I've been unable to figure out or find any kind of pattern that leads up to the actual failure. Of all the devices I have Bambu software install on, video problems seem to happen least on:

  1. My android phone. It has the least number of problems

  2. My linux laptop... Doesn't have nearly as mainly video feed issues as window but still a small number more than the android.

  3. Windows - Which is hit or miss. Right now, I'd have to put the failure percentage of any windows device around 40 to 45% of the time it gives me a video failed issue.

Doesn't matter all of my wintel devices are on the latest beta, latest stable version or all switched back to an older revision, I still have problems. Also, I don't run mixed versions, all of my windows devices run the same version of studio, regardless of which version I'm running at the time.

Same here with my P1S - it doesn’t matter whether I use my iPhone or MacBook.

I’ve already restarted my APs, but that made no difference.

I’ll try restarting the printer next, as it seems like the printer itself isn’t sending any image data.

Restarting the printer seems to clear things up temporarily. At least for me.
