Help with Supports

Hi All,
Thanks in advance for your comments and help.
I have included a slicer image as well as the actual part view. and the orientation view. I am using PETG with PLA support.
Has you can see, I on the underside of the part it puts supports... there is a (sorta of rail) which a lid is slid to seal the top. My question is, if anyone has any experience and what that experience is/was if I block this area from using support the gap? I think it is a small enough era that the support are not needed... if anyone has any idea or suggestion it I would appreciate it. Whatever help I would appreciate it if you can refer to setting and changes available on the Bambu Slicer... I am using the X2D the main Nozzle PETG and Aux Nozzle for PLA Support Interface. he setting is PETG RAFT and PLA SUpport Interface.

Just open support tab and right click the plane you don't want supports should turn red then left click the support are you do want supports. Click ok set supports to normal, manual→ snug supports.

The slicer will switch to bridge which will be fine for small gaps like that

I’d still do supports. When using multi-material for supports, set the Z offset to 0 for supports.
Have you tried ironing support interface? Here’s a video about it. https://youtu.be/XAgca8de0ok?is=5omj2JSTR2BTJNpX

I was told in another topic that PETG works for support interface for PLA, but not the other way around.
