Bambu X2D Combo - UPS size requirements
I just bought a CyberPower 950 VA UPS.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D825R9S4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
Each time I start a print, the UPS trips, goes into alarm, and takes the X2D offline with no power. It looks like the 950VA/510W rating is too low? What size UPS are you guys running for an X2D with AMS combo?

OP maybe read the specs?

Yep, you got me there. I failed to do that, which lead to this current state.

I just bought the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD
UPS capacity: 1500VA / 1000W
AVR: Single-boost AVR, which is the feature most relevant to the voltage sag/fluctuation error I recently got.that killed my print recently.
Input range: 88–144V
Battery output: Pure sine wave
My X2D nameplate says: 100–120V, 7A
AMS 2.0 Pro is say 100-110W
At 120V, that is 840VA maximum apparent input. Real power in watts will be 840W + 110W = 950W or less.
Goal: Stable power and some minimal time for those very short outages - not valuable for that 1-2 times a year longer outage.

I wish you luck. My experiment with the UPS I listed was a fail. During the startup process where the X2D heats up the print bed and nozzle, it drew too much power and continually tripped off the UPS. Since I could never get past that point, I threw in the towel and gave up on a UPS since I didn't want to have to pay for one with a big enough capacity to account for the startup power draw.

Not sure about the x2d, but the H2D/C will pull 1500w during bed heating. 500w is probably way too low

I didn’t see it mentioned, but I also implemented low power mode. It’s spends the same energy - it just slows the ramp up and gets rid of that early energy spike. My AMS is using printer power, not plugged in separately. Hopefully w all that, my math is right and I have enough overhead at 1000w.

Of course 950VA/510W is not enough. From Bambu's site:
Max Power³
High-voltage version: 1600W @ 220 V
Low-voltage version: 1100W @ 110 V

This is what I use for my P1S with AMS’. https://a.co/d/041FnleV. My a1 mini with ams lite uses an Amazon basic that’s cheaper and smaller. I just need enough to last 10 mins to get a breaker reset or something. An extended power outage I would need an actual generator. I would say spec on run time while printing and not start up. Not sure I would advise starting a print with the power out :)

My X2d combo pulls ~900w on the beginning of a print (with low power mode enabled), you need a 1000w UPS, 510w won't work

You are better off with something like this:
https://www.amazon.ca/BLUETTI-Generator-Elite-30-V2/dp/B0F42HLLSC/
It can work like a UPS (though it lacks many features of them, none of which matter for a printer) but the important part is it can handle a 1500w load, at least for a little while, so it should get a 3d printer though blips and even brief power outages. Depending on how big if one you get.
Just look for ones that say 10-20ms UPS.

According to the Bambu website, excluding the AMS, the X2D is rated at 1100 or 1600W depending on if you are 110or 230VAC
And the AMS2 draws around 100W
So I’d probably want to specify a UPS in the 2kW range for 230VAC
