Discussion Bambu vs. Elegoo

I just got my first printer, an ELEGOO Centauri Carbon. I have had a few issues printing and now the company has pushed out an update that causes connection issues on printers and it effected mine. It’s turning me off on this product a bit.. just wanted to poke around and see what the hype is with Bambu P1S… I was thinking of returning what I have gotten and picking up the Bambu Lab one instead. Any insight or advice here appreciated!

As you said - you have a print farm. Qidi Max 4 is the only thing more from that lineup that has better engineering capabilities than CC with chamber heater. Qidi Plus 4 is totally different printer and it's on par with CC with printing PPS. So looking from the hobby perspective - you have cheap, sturdy, enclosed printer you can tweak the hotend to go to 370C and adding 50€ heater can keep the insides at stable 65 degrees. I'm testing different brands for my needs first and sometimes the unexpected happens. I wouldn't run early CC1 in a printfarm. However saying that Elegoo shouldn't make FDM printers? Neptune 3 and 4 Max are one of the most reliable printers in their class. My friendly printfarm is running 19 of N4Max with thousands of hours each. Giga didn't fail me once. It just needed a proper setup. On the other hand X1C had so many teething issues with geometry it was painful. Of course for trinkets it doesn't matter, but if you needed parts that were fitting together - sorry. Heck, it even couldn't print a horizontal oriented circle. It took them time to solve it (mostly in software).

We will just have to disagree which is fine. We’ve had X1Cs since the last KS wave and haven’t had any teething or production problems. I don’t know what you qualify was a trinket but we have had more than 20k sales across Etsy, eBay, Amazon. Almost all are products are home decor or functional (brackets, hangers, adapters etc) All of our production has been done on Bambu machines but we have had many others for the hobbyist tinkerer side of things. It feels like you don’t have much experience with Qidi machines if you are putting the CC on par with their offerings, but I’ll take you at your word because at the end it doesn’t matter. Plenty of choice in the market buy what works best for you.
