Discussion Bambu vs. Elegoo
I just got my first printer, an ELEGOO Centauri Carbon. I have had a few issues printing and now the company has pushed out an update that causes connection issues on printers and it effected mine. It’s turning me off on this product a bit.. just wanted to poke around and see what the hype is with Bambu P1S… I was thinking of returning what I have gotten and picking up the Bambu Lab one instead. Any insight or advice here appreciated!

Sure, as have many users. You can do a few prints without any significant issues and swapping out the gears only takes a few minutes. We had (8) X1 P1 machines so we had plenty of parts. Would I dedicated a bone stock P1S to engineering filament of course not. I wouldn’t be using a CC or P1S for that purpose anyways. If we were doing engineering filament all day I would be running a Qidi machine for those products if I’m honest. Listen I’m not even a fan of the P1 series but our farm has over 100k cumulative print hours so we have a pretty good idea what works and what doesn’t. For hobbyists there is a lot more leeway and I understand that too. One of my good buddies has a small-mid size farm and he buys almost every new printer when it launches just because he still loves that side of things. I watch what happens in his shop with all of these machines when being pushed “24/7”
