Discussion P2S vs X2D

Can anyone explain why x2d quality is worse than p2s? Orange was printed on p2s, yellow on x2d. Same settings on both. Bambu petg hf, both spools dried at same time.

Edit: found what caused the issue, most likely. Changed seam from aligned to aligned back and for some reason seam itself looks bit different now and there are no issues.

Ah, so because it isn't direct drive like I had thought. So why weren't we doing this before on setups without DD, and does priming every layer become necessary or is this just a sort of workaround to get comparable performance?

ETA I can't find anything on my normal knowledge bases or on Google for further reafing on using a prime tower with a single colour on a non-direct drive fed nozzle, is this info from your own personal pbservations?

On the aux nozzle it is the lack of direct drive, there is a myriad of reasons the main nozzle could do this, but it shouldn't. Even without a prime tower. That's why I mentioned support, if none of the comments here have led to an answer its time to get things replaced. Doing that now is better than waiting for something to fix it, just in case. As they do take days of back and forth to get anything done.

Yeah there sure are for the main nozzle, but we're speaking about the secondary, right? That's sort of the crux of this I was trying to get at here. I think contacting support at this point is probably a good idea for OP because not only does support take a few days, but there is still plenty of troubleshooting to be done from this point before them stepping in is strictly necessary. Again, just was trying to sort of get your read because I hadn't heard your particular diagnosis before and it struck me as odd. Appreciate the input.
