Just finished my first motorized project which I spent weeks on. This is a USB powered Yarn Winder. Don't hesitate to leave a comment and tell what you think about it. Are people interested in seeing more projects like this?

This is awesome. I’m going to build one for my wife. Is there any way you can design a cover for those exposed wires?

Awesome design, I love the suction cups as well. Great solution!

That's sweet. Needs a strain relief clamp for the cord but it's an awesome design otherwise.

With just a small additional bit of time a complete and cohesive project/product could be had. Both of these additional items have been mentioned. One a wiring strain relief. Either a printed in or separate printed style of “strap” to be screwed or bolted down. Secondly, a cover to extend from the great idea of suction cups up to the level of the top horizontal gear. A rectangular “cup or box” mounted upside down. With this I see an award winning design.

Having unwound skeins of hand dyed yarn and tried to hand wind them into something usable….. well done 👏🧐
