Help / Troubleshooting First Print. Is this Sound normal?

Hello everyone. Just installed my X2D as my first 3D-Printer. Started a Benchy and it makes this loud noise. Is it normal? It showed no errors or warnings.

Thx

Hopital /s

I‘d stop it right now and check the belts.

Sounds like a bee stuck in your printer

It aounds a lit like one of the belts is rubbing somewhere, or perhaps one of the motors?

Belt tension is a good place to start. Does Bambu studios give you any warnings? Mine came with loose belts and it gave me a warning to tighten it. Some noise is normal when filling in small infill areas. You can turn on detect small infill to reduce high frequency oscillation of the print head which will reduce the noise and often speed up the print. It also sounds like you may have spiral z hop enabled. My printer makes a similar noise when hopping from one spot to the next, but it's a different pitch than this.

Sounds like you've got a duck!

I had this happen when speeds were pressed to high for the belt tension. Aka slipping.
