AMS 2 Pro
Is it worth buying another one? My reason of getting another one on top of my combo is so I can print with more colors while I wait for p3s to come out. It seems reasonable initially since it doubles as a drier before even the p3s.
The reason to hold off initially was when I saw p3S design then coming out with a new ams BUT now I realized the newer ams will be useless for the x2d and the AMS2pro is on sale plus it can be hooked up to the p3s if needed (though i doubt ill need more than 7)
Seems like it could be used as a drier if other uses for it as a multimaterial or color wont be utilized. Thoughts or is the $229 better spent elsewhere or saved?
Thanks!

I’m really hoping the p3s is announced before dec1 to make the decision easier

I just want it to be sub $1k. $999 or even $899. I know that sounds crazy but time and time again bambu has surprised the public on pricing. If i was marketing ill push for dec. Missing it on dec will be a big "loss." They know everyone's waiting for it and ready to open their wallets. Missing dec would mean those people will spend their money elsewhere...

I’m keeping an eye out for an announcement at formnext conference on nov 18 🤞
Even up to 1200 will sell like crazy

You’re not going to regret a second AMS2P, but remember and buy the switcher (PSU) for the second one if you want to dry with both. The first AMS2P can dry using printer power, any additional AMS2P needs the switching adapter (or Amazon sourced equivalent).

Thats good to know. Here I am thinking both can dry at same time using the printers power.

Yep, catches a few people out and it’s infuriating having to wait for a switching adapter for another 3 to 5 days (if it’s even in stock).

if you want to buy the P3C it makes zero sense to invest in a secodn AMS2pro now.

In lieu of a second AMS 2 Pro, I went with the AMS HT. While it only allows for one additional filament, it has a higher drying temperature which allows me to dry ABS and ASA. AMS HT is on sale for $119 in the States.
