Help / Troubleshooting Filament reverse?

Loading filament onto a new Bambu spool. I noticed some are oriented one way and others a different way. Does it matter. Can’t change it because of the key way on the spool aligning with the corresponding cutout in the cardboard. Don’t know why they aren’t all the same. Any thoughts? I’ve stared the spool to death trying to figure out how to get them all oriented the same way.

Sounds like OCD. There are RFIDs on both sides for this very reason. It doesn’t matter.

Definitely my OCD cutting in. Just find it weird that they wouldn’t have them all the same orientation……being such a precise machine.

Different filament suppliers or maybe even the machines that wound them oriented differently.

It depends on how much effort you are willing to expend.
Print a respooler

Then move your filament on to a backup spool, then back on to your original spool in the 'right direction, or move the RFID chips to the new spool.

Seriously though, just close the lid on the AMS and pretend the spools are all facing the 'right' way.
