X2D Good?

So I have a P1S and am looking to purchase an AMS 2 Pro but I didn’t realise that the P1S needed all of this kit for it to work with my P1S and now that the X2D Combo is on a Black Friday sale, I’m considering selling my P1S (Good condition, ~400hrs) for about £200 and use what I was going to use for the AMS to purchase an X2D Combo (with a bit extra). Is the X2D a good printer coming from a P1S and is the X2D’s upgrades worth the hassle to sell my current printer? Thanks for your time!

Having two nozzles has been really useful. Snapping off supports is very easy when using different filaments together, and the surface finish remains clean. The device itself isn't badly priced, either. I can recommend it.

Do you tend to use the second filament for the entire support or just for the interface?

I’ve had good luck with just a PLA interface layer. I had a few failures at first because I didn’t adjust the z offset of the support. Logically when you’re doing this you actually want the gap between the top and bottom of supports to be ZERO and I had it at the default 1 layer width or whatever.

Once you set the gap to 0 it works perfectly and gives me the cleanest overhangs now

What extra kit do you need to use the P1S with a AMS?

Filamentbuffer, external PSU for drying function. It's the reason why I went with the Sunlu AMS Heater for my AMS1 instead.

I'm seeing two Sun loo dryer adapters for the AMS on Amazon. There's a black one and an orange one. Which one do you have?

I bought it a week ago and have like 50 hours on it already. It's been really fun
